"False positive VBS:Malware-gen detection in VPS 20170221-1 () I would recommend doing a Malwarebytes Scan if you think you caught something, since Avast will obviously think you're infected if it is flagging Twitch API. Use quarantine if you really want, and again don't panic, it happens.

I personally would be careful with deleting "viruses" that Avast found related to that, since it's likely you're deleting necessary files.
#AVAST FOR MAC WONT ALLOW FTP UPDATE#
Malfunction on Twitch side that Avast is flagging as abnormal, bad update on Avast's side, or simply software fucking up, which can (and will) happen. Why it is doing that? Could be a lot of things. It could be for whatever reason, but if Twitch was really infected Avast wouldn't be the only AV to notice it, and we'd know it by now. My guess is that it is Avast is flagging the Twitch API as a malware, especially since it is also blocking BTTV and FrankerFaceZ which both use Twitch API, but that's just an half-educated guess as I am not related to Twitch.
#AVAST FOR MAC WONT ALLOW FTP WINDOWS#
Blocking/deleting things that are perfectly safe and completely freezing Windows is something Avast did to me, and why I switched.

Only Avast users are getting that, and Avast is known to behave weirdly from time to time. Just so people don't panic too much, I'm quite confident it's false positives.
